I have a request and a couple of recommendations related to Canvas:

First, many of you have not configured your personal information, including your name. Consequently, I see a lot of email addresses in the grade book, which makes it more difficult for me to find a particular student. Please take a minute to review your personal information in the Canvas settings and set your name if it is currently your email address.1

Second, a couple of you have joined the course using multiple Canvas accounts, typically one affiliated with your @usafa.edu email account and one affiliated with your @afacademy.af.edu email account. If you have multiple Canvas accounts, I recommend that you merge them to minimize the potential for confusion. Note that merging accounts may overwrite some of your personal information so be sure to check and update it if necessary.

Third, Canvas does support single sign-on (SSO) through Microsoft Office 365. If you don’t enjoy keeping track of dozens of different passwords for sites, then I recommend that you create a Canvas account affiliated with your Microsoft Office 365 account and merge that account with your existing account. You can create the Canvas account simply by clicking the Office 365 logo on the Canvas home page.
