A question came up in today’s class regarding how to access feedback from assessments (e.g., homeworks) in Blackboard. Unfortunately, I did not have Blackboard configured to provide my feedback by default; I had assumed that Blackboard would show you the feedback as soon as the assessment was graded, but clearly that assumption was not correct.

Regardless, the steps required to access feedback are as follows:

  1. Click on “My Grades” in the left navigation menu
  2. Click on “Homework 1” – it should be one of the only entries with a grade
  3. Click on the grade under the “Calculated Grade” column (the number is a link, which may not be immediately obvious)

You should see the completed assessment, specifically each question, your response, and my feedback.

Please let me know if you have trouble accessing this information. In addition, making my feedback available must be done for each assessment in Blackboard so don’t hesitate to let me know if I miss enabling it for a future assignment.
