Final Exam
Learning Activities
Complete the following learning activities for the final exam:
-
Complete the course evaluation if you have not done so already (5–10 minutes)
As an incentive, completing the course evaluation is worth 5 points of extra credit on the final exam.
-
Read “The emerging 737 Max scandal, explained” (Yglesias 2019) (15 minutes)
Several questions on the final exam refer to this article. You may access the article during the exam, but doing so will cost you time that could otherwise be spent answering questions.
-
Study for the exam (time varies)
Use whatever strategies are most effective for you personally. Some study strategies to consider:
- Quiz yourself using your notes from the course
- Complete the handouts provided for various lessons
- Complete the reading guides provided for various lessons
Questions on the final exam are directly aligned with the learning objectives for each lesson and the course outcomes.
Re-reading (e.g., chapters from the textbook, your notes, or the solutions for a handout) is not an effective study strategy: numerous studies have shown that re-reading does not improve learning although it often increases the perception of mastery.
